A little about me.

I’m Amanda, and I love to write, hence: AmandaScripts!
I taught myself calligraphy in 2015 and it’s now my (almost) full time job! I specialize in and enjoy live event calligraphy and engraving! I love making people smile as they receive something made just for them by hand!

A few things about me:

I am a wife, a mom to a young adult and doodle mom! I love Jesus, and do my best to show ALL people love and kindness!
I live in the suburbs of Nashville, Tennessee.

A few of my favorite things:
- The beach, football, chocolate, coffee, and ALL things Christmas!

Things I don’t like:
Snakes, heights, winter/being cold! (Ironically, I LOVE snow days though!)

Calligraphy Journey


When I was a little girl, my dad wrote a Christmas poem and a co-worker gave him a framed copy of it written in traditional calligraphy. I remember having all the heart eyes (even though that wasn’t even a “term” back then!) and would always try to recreate those “fancy” letters and words. That was the beginning of my love for beautiful writing. Little did I know many years later, calligraphy would be my job!

In 2015, I decided to start teaching myself calligraphy. I turned to the internet, of course, and started learning as much as I could. Hours and HOURS of practice later, I finally decided to make Christmas ornaments one year. They were a hit! My confidence slowly built. I’ve since taken online classes, as well in-person workshops with some amazing and well known calligraphers/teachers.

I LOVE creating and the joy it brings to others who receive it!
